Since late 2019, AHOY has been putting on events around New Haven and making room for artists, musicians, podcasters, filmmakers, and other independent creators. The project grows from the belief that local work deserves a durable place to be found, shared, and remembered.
Today, AHOY is becoming an ecosystem: Discover is the web app for finding independent media; Player helps organize your MP3 collection and listen offline; and Cards explore a physical way to hold onto the work.
AHOY is maintained by solo developer Alex Gonzalez. We are currently working toward becoming a nonprofit, with the goal of making the project more accountable to and useful for the community it comes from.
