Ahoy Broadcast recreates the essence of classic TV for the digital age, delivering rotating indie playlists that shift throughout the day, just like a traditional TV broadcast would.
How It Works
- Time-Based Playlists: The Ahoy Broadcast feature organizes content into time-based blocks that align with traditional broadcast schedules. These blocks include:
- Morning Broadcast (6am-12pm)
- Afternoon Broadcast (12pm-6pm)
- Evening Broadcast (6pm-10pm)
- Late Night Broadcast (10pm-6am)
- Dynamic Content: Each block features a curated playlist of indie media, ensuring a fresh experience every time you tune in. The playlists are automatically loaded based on the current time of day.
- Interactive Controls: Users can interact with the broadcast using a set of remote control buttons, allowing them to play, pause, fast forward, rewind, shuffle the playlist, and adjust volume.
- Playlist Management: The playlists are managed through JSON files, which are dynamically loaded based on the current time. This system allows for easy updates and modifications to the content lineup, ensuring that the broadcast remains fresh.
- Beta Feature: Currently, the Ahoy Broadcast is in its beta phase, meaning we're actively working on refining the experience and squashing any bugs. This feature is a significant milestone for us, as it marks our readiness to move forward with our App Store submission.
